A stunning hometown wedding in our lovely Acquasparta in Umbria.

This wedding day exuded elegance and poise. I haven’t enough words to describe how absolutely stunning Erika looked. We had a lot of fun from getting ready with all her girlfriends and walking through the streets of Acquasparta, and a very quick visit to the old Palazzo Cesi. From meeting a baby donkey and losing my second photographer, lost in the back roads to Todi, we had a lot of laughs. The reception venue was classy, the food was fine dining at its best and we just made it to the reception venue to get the very last moments of the sunset overlooking the hills of Todi. I will let the photos speak for themselves. Quite simply, I want to say thank you for making me a big part of your day and allowing me to share your beautiful Images.

A message from Erika.

La prima volta che vidi Michele pensai “uno cosè neanche se me lo legano ai piedi” e lui pensi di me “ma quanto antipatica questa!?. Due anni e mezzo dopo ci siamo sposati. Non scorderà mai l’emozione prima di entrare in chiesa, sapevo a memoria tutti i ‘passi’ da compiere – dove dovevo posizionarmi, dove appoggiare il bouquet, a che altezza tenerlo – ma quando sono arrivai all?ingresso della chiesa dimenticai tutto, tant?? che mio padre prima di entrare mi disse ?ma io non devo stare alla tua destra?? (per fortuna lui).

Il mio abito da sposa l?ho ordinato su internet, Mascara Collection, e quando ? arrivato era perfino meglio di come appariva sulle foto. Le scarpe, invece, le ho prese da Casadei, sapendo cosi di andare sul sicuro. Abbiamo scelto di celebrare e festeggiare il matrimonio in Umbria, la splendida e romantica regione in cui entrambi siamo nati. La messa? stata celebrata ad Acquasparta, il paese dove Michele nato e cresciuto. La Basilica di Santa Cecilia, ristrutturata da poco, ? stato il luogo ideale dove ricevere il Sacramento del Matrimonio, nella cornice dei suoi colori eleganti e dolci.

Il ricevimento vicino a Todi ci ha regalato la festa proprio come desideravamo, piena di amici e parenti, ottimo cibo, buona musica, il tutto in una ambiente accogliente, semplice e raffinato. I nostri amici e parenti sono stati fantastici, con il loro entusiasmo ed affetto hanno contribuito a rendere speciale il nostro matrimonio. ? stato il giorno pi? bello, felice ed intenso della mia vita.”

When I first saw Michele, what I thought was: “Not with this one, not even if they tie him to my feet” and what he thought about me was ? She is so unpleasant?. We married two years and a half after that.” I will never forget how excited I was before entering the church, I knew all the steps I was to take by heart – where I was to stand, where to lay the bouquet, how high to hold it – but when I arrived in front of the church I forgot everything. So much so that before going inside my father told me : Am I not supposed to be to your right? (at least him!).

I had ordered my wedding gown on the internet and when it was delivered it looked even better than it did in the pictures. The shoes, instead, are Casadei, I wanted to play it safe. We chose to have and celebrate the wedding in Umbria, the wonderful romantic region where we were both born.”

The mass was held in Acquasparta, the village where Michele was born and raised. The Basilica of Santa Cecilia, recently restored, it was the perfect place to receive the Sacrament of Matrimony, a place that framed our day with its elegant and soft colours.”

The reception close to Todi gave us the exact party we wished for, with plenty of friends and relatives, delicious food, good music, all in a welcoming, simple and refined venue. Our friends and relatives have been fantastic, their enthusiasm and affection helped to make our wedding special. It was the most beautiful, happiest and fullest day of my life?.
