A bit about what I like to capture For You
I will arrive with the bride and bridesmaids at least one hour before we need to leave for church or the ceremony. This gives me time to get the buzz of the morning, having hair and makeup done, sipping prosecco, and getting caught up in the drama.
It’s always a good idea to have all your accessories out and ready, with dresses hanging and crease-free!! Keeping a clear, clean space also helps for clutter-free photos. The morning will fly by, and I am always told this is one of the best parts of the day for brides.
Organise times with hair and MUA so you will be ready, and we can get some nice finished-look shots before we need to leave. Its nicer to allow some extra time here to enjoy the portraits, parents, and be totally content with the finished look. Timing is important, so we can keep it all as stress-free as possible.
I will need that bit of extra time to leave before you to get the guys at church or the ceremony before you arrive. I will capture your vows, rings, and church setting from a respectable and discreet distance. I do not use flash in the church, and I do not stage shots inside with groups. I will get your registry, and a few just wed shots at the altar before we leave and walk out. Again with the flow of the day, as everything happens at a natural pace. From this point, depending on your reception venue and our ceremony location, I can do a few groups, families, and parents at the church. Location portraits or head back to the venue for these, depending on what we have to work with.
I encourage you to enjoy your drinks reception and make time to mingle with your guests. I just need my time with you for some shots of you both together as newlyweds. A wander around the grounds of the venue or a nearby location. If you have me booked for the day, I will be there for the speeches, and your cake will follow a bit later for your first dance.
The more relaxed we keep the flow of the day, the prettier the pictures. I am there for you, and I am there to capture the feel of your day and how it unfolds naturally.
