Olive leaves & thistle flowers, a Spring wedding at Borgo di Tragliata

A beautiful spring day for my first wedding of the year at Borgo di Tragliata and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. Taking into consideration that the month of May has been pouring down, non-stop! Getting ready is always my favourite part and it was a laugh! We had Louise Faulkner working her magic on the very pretty bridal party and beautiful mothers. Emily’s dress was a traditional white full-length crêpe wedding gown by Mikella. Very simple and very pretty.

I loved Neil’s waistcoat and the boy’s jackets were spiced up with gorgeous buttonholes of olive leaves and thistle flowers. The girls just wowed in full-length dresses from The Dessy Group. Platinum in colour and crêpe material. They polished off the look in beautiful big oversized bouquets with more thistle and lots of green which really brought out the colours of the dresses. I was able to capture the real story of the day as they were so caught up in the moment and having such a laugh that they needed no direction at all.

The music in the church was superb and after from here, we had the very talented and handsome duo Akira Manera leading our bridal procession to the reception area of marsello for prosecco and a feast of Italian antipasti. The day unfolded so naturally and easy it shows in the faces and the intimacy of the images. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to the wedding season. Not only did I have such a good looking bridal party but such wonderful people too and lovely friends and family. We tried and failed desperately to set off some lanterns after dinner some were successful others not so. The cake was cut outside on the terrace more prosecco more desert followed by a full-on party by the Gloves. I can’t thank you enough, Emily and Neil, for falling naturally into your day and paying next to no attention to me! I really love when I am trusted to keep in the background and free to be creative.
