Paula and Eoin recently returned home to Ireland after living in the States, and in May 2017 celebrated their wedding in Montepulciano in Tuscany

The wedding was celebrated at Chiesa di San Biagio in and they partied at Terre di Nano, a stunning country villa in southern Tuscany’s Val d’Orcia.

Thanks to Paula and Eoin for allowing us to share a sample of their wedding photographs in this gallery and a special thank you to Paula for sharing a little of her wedding planning story and her tips and insight for other couples planning to have their destination wedding in Tuscany Italy.

Paula’s wedding story

I got my dress in Nicole Miller in Philadelphia (we were living there for a year at the time). So it had been on a few plane journeys by the time we made it back to Dublin and then to Italy, totally intact thankfully! My two sisters came to visit us in Philly and we picked the bridesmaids dresses in a shop called Bella Bridesmaid there. They are Jenny Yoo multi-way dresses which we chose to do in the one shoulder style. My shoes were Kate Spade, which I got online, I loved the bows and they turned out to be the perfect shade for my dress. One of my sisters is an Optician so she got me the tiffany sunglasses as my something blue. The guys’ suits were from Moss Brothers in Dublin, we loved the shade (sharkskin blue) as we thought it was something a bit different and worked really well with the Bridesmaid dresses.

We got engaged back in March 2015 at the Guinness Lake, just outside Dublin. We went for a hike and Eoin popped the question during a picnic, I was totally stunned! Shortly afterwards we went to Italy for a few days and visited a number of potential venues. We first got the idea of getting married in a vineyard when we were in New Zealand and saw a couple of vineyard weddings there. When we first visited Terre di Nano, we were blown away by the views of the Tuscan hills and loved the “wine cellar” feel of the reception room. It was great having enough rooms for our families to stay on site and it was so close to Montepulciano town for our guests. Ilaria and Giorgio really made the wedding what it was. Ilaria was amazing during the planning stages and the flowers she did blew me away, I loved them. Giorgio’s cooking was fabulous and we’re such foodies, so this was something that was important to us. We had Guty & Simone as our band, and in true Irish wedding style, we partied into the wee hours!
