Rome wedding venue Casale Doria Pamphili, a new Rome wedding venue by the guys behind Borgo di Tragliata

It’s always nice to visit new locations and to experience a whole different wedding venue, its style, and be inspired by new surroundings. Casale Doria Pamphili located just 22 km from Rome is set in the Countryside and offers a quiet and intimate wedding venue.

The style is casual shabby-chick, rustic and very charming. Perfect for a smaller wedding and ideal for anyone travelling with children. It has a lovely big garden area and a pretty courtyard which is normally set up for aperitivi after a symbolic wedding in the big shady corner of their garden.

I love a venue that accommodates everything on-site, as a photographer I feel it gives everyone a great sense of freedom and security without the stress of putting everyone on a bus journey especially during the summer months in Rome.

Caroline and Henning travelled from Norway along with their three beautiful children. Theywanted to keep it very simple and surrounded by close family and friends the day felt very personal and great fun. I am always impressed with couples that can pull off a wedding day with a young family in tow.

Caroline chose a dress from home by a Norwegian designer, Sadoni. It was so very simple and pretty with an open back and floaty chiffon skirt and finished the look with a gorgeous oversized bouquet.

They decided to travel into Rome for some pre-wedding photos and so we enjoyed some private time in Giardino Degli Aranci also known as the Orange Garden which has the most fantastic views over Rome including St.Peters. We also included the Colosseum for the real Roman feel in the photos.

Back at Casale Doria, the bride was walked to the garden with her father and kids where they had a symbolic ceremony under the shade of the big Sycamore tree with close friends and family. The children were all so cute in their little fairy skirts and wore olive leaf crowns on their heads.

Musicl duo Akira Manera really sparked off the mood belting out the romantics like Ed Sheerin’s ‘Perfect’, they are both Italian musicians, a timeless sound of acoustic guitar and a ukulele and beautiful vocals. The ceremony was followed by a beautiful spread of antipasto served in the little courtyard with lots of prosecco and more background music from the two boys.

We used the lovely grounds for more photos without having to go too far away from anyone as the sun began to set. The entire day was spent outdoors and the existing charm of the venue complemented the beautiful table set up. Two long wooden tables draped with linen cloths and a fresh floral centrepiece ran the entire length of the table with candles scattered in between. Dinner was served under the stars and a little half moon, the speeches were short and sweet between the courses, followed by wedding cake and dancing again in the pretty courtyard.

The entire day was so chilled and easy going, the children were beautiful and everyone had space to run, sleep play and dance, just perfect.

I want to thank you for trusting me as your photographer and for such an unforgettable and romantic day, andmay I say you have the prettiest family I have ever set eyes on.

I would also like to give a massive thanks to all the lovely staff at Casale Doria, complimenti!
