Pretty bridesmaids
I loved the girls’ pretty ponytails. They wore gorgeous emerald green dresses with matching earrings. It is always nice to see people throw a bit of green to their Irish weddings here in Italy. I think it adds a little personal touch when getting married abroad. The boys looked pretty sharp in clean white shirts with fitted blue suits and squeaky clean shiny patent shoes. Damien, our handsome groom wore a slim-fitting Italian Mulish hound’s-tooth velvet suit with a navy tux double-breasted waistcoat.
September wedding at Borgo Di Tragliata in Rome
We had a miraculous little break late summer and enjoyed a safe and very pretty wedding at the beautiful Borgo di Tragliata close to Rome. A very popular destination for Irish weddings. It almost felt a little bit surreal yet absolutely brilliant that we were able to celebrate Amy and Damien’s Rome wedding at one of my favourite venues. The beautiful Amy stunned in a full-length Enzoani mermaid beaded dress with a cascading train and a lovely long veil perfect for the light summer breeze. Their two beautiful daughters making up the bridal party of bridesmaid and flower girl.
Everyone enjoyed the beautiful September sunshine and the wedding took place in the lovely Church of Sant’Isidoro on site. Aperitivi and antipasti on the lawns and dinner on the open terrace made it perfect to enjoy the beautiful grounds. Finally, a large selection of sweet desserts and a stunning wedding cake made from wheels of cheese were all served outside under the stars. Thank you both and your lovely families for letting me share a little part of your wedding day. And most importantly massive thanks to Cristina Massini who keeps us all on our toes and the forever efficient and welcoming staff at Borgo.
